Chassis serial numbers are on a plate located on the
outside of left frame side rail at front end, or on the dash panel or
at the upper right corner under hood.
Engine Info
Engine Serial Numbers: The
serial number is stamped on the top water pump boss at upper front
end of cylinder block, or on boss on the right side of cylinder block
above generator. Numbers start at 10,001. Engines originally equipped
with .010 undersize main and connecting rod bearings are identified
by the letter "A" following the serial number. (Example 10,001-A)
Engines originally having cylinder blocks with .002 oversize bores
are identified by the letter "B" following the serial number.
(Example 10,001-B)
